Please vote on Saturday, July 15th, at Asian American Cultural Center. 1-4PM.

If you vote YES to form an association, Galib Hassan humbly requests for your doa and vote for the ad-hoc committee .

1. Born and Raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, genetically Sylheti, Galib Hassan has been in Austin for almost 18 years and is an Engineer by profession. He is married to Tanjima Hussain (Bagerhat-ian).

2. Galib Hassan's primary interest in the ad-hoc is to contribute to author a bylaws and a set of election rules for the actual election for the association. He reviewed and edited bylaws/rules of other organizations in the past. This experience will help him make constructive contribution to the ad-hoc committee.

3. When it comes to serving the community, Galib Hassan believes that the Austinite Bangladeshis should always strive to uphold "fairness", "unity" and "harmony" for the community. Galib Hassan's recommendations in authoring the bylaws, future election rules and regulations will reflect these principles.

4. Galib Hassan has friends (or at least he likes to think he has), acquaintances, counselors and wellwishers throughout the community. He shares his opinions with and listens to diverse community members. He hopes to serve as YOUR REPRESENTATIVE, regardless of your color or creed, and hopes to be your channel to send recommendations and concerns to the ad-hoc committee.

5. Galib Hassan will assist authoring the bylaws to reflect an association of WHICHEVER FORMAT wins the community vote.

6. Galib Hassan proudly served for and still has affiliation with Austin Bangla School and SpaandanB (San Jose, CA).

7. Galib Hassan is a Libra, which, is synonymous to "Fair and balanced" (not Fox news!). He has kacha-paaka hair (a sign of wisdom), chhimchham figure (a sign of moderation/self-control), and an ever-smiling face (a sign of innocence... or so he says). His social security number is... withheld upon request from the Department of Homeland, driver's license number is... withheld upon request from his insurance company, and his date of birth is... withheld upon request from his wife.
