My name is khaled Hasan Matin.Most of you may know me by Jony.I’ve been in Austin for the last 10 years. I’ve participated in helping and organizing different community events in the last few years. A lot of u may remember me grilling, bbqing or serving food in a community event or thru your Sunday soccer phone screening process.

I live thru my great days in Austin with my beautiful wife Rani,my 4 year old daughter Sahar(who never stops talking)and a lot of friends from my community.

I’m running for ad-hoc committee election as a candidate because I believe that the ad-hoc committee will ensure a proper upcoming election for Bangladeshi assosciation,write by-laws for actual committees approval and also keep the community alive thru events and activities in the meanwhile. I want to have the opportunity to serve this great community to achieve these expectations.

I’m in favor of a modified version of format (A) because I believe that leadership & responsibilities must come with designated hierarchy in any organization and the whole community should be entitled to decide that directly for a proper explanatory system.

I believe that writing by-laws must not be limited within the 15 member ad-hoc committee. If elected, I shall propose the committee for volunteers from among the interested community members who will work along with the committee members to ensure the best outcome of the process.

A lot of you may feel the same way when I say that I want to grow old in Austin. It’s not because of the place. I think, it’s morely because we all have worked in all our mysterious different ways to make it what it is today. Yet we must not forget that the community is growing everyday. Now we need more organized effort to make it a better place for new comers and our children. I believe the ad-hoc committee is the first foot step to this great journey of togetherness and I want you to help me become a part of this process so that I may help the community to achieve your collective goals.
