Dear Community members:
BAGA is happy to announce the publication of yearly Pohela Boishakh magazine to
be published on the Bengali New Year
(Pohela Boishakh) celebration event in April 18, 2009. Pohela Boishakh
Magazine Committee invites writings (essays, poems, articles, quotes, stories,
etc.) from the community members of all ages. The writings will be accepted in
both Bangla and English. Please submit your writings
to baga_bods@yahoo.
com or personally to any members of the Pohela
Boishakh Magazine committee on or before March 30th, 2009.
We are also conducting an Art Competition among our kids in the community. The
winning drawing will be used for the cover page of the magazine. All the other
drawings will also be published inside the magazine. Please submit the drawings
personally to any members of the BAGA BODs on or before March 30th, 2009.
In addition, all the business owners in the community are encouraged to contact
the Pohela Boishakh Magazine committee to publish their advertisements in the
magazine. We are planning to publish over 1,000 of these magazines to be
distributed among the local community, visitors from surrounding cities, and
city and state dignitaries invited to this event.
